What is Kava?

So, what’s kava? Kava, also called kava-kava, is a plant from the South Pacific. People there have used it for a long time in gatherings to help everyone relax and have a good time. Kava root is ground into a powder and mixed with water to make a drink. You can have kava as tea, shots, or even in chocolates!

The Classic Gimlet

A classic gimlet is a drink from way back in the early 1900s. It’s usually made with gin and lime juice, and a bit of simple syrup to make it sweet and refreshing. It’s great for any event and is the base for our new Kava Basil Gimlet.

How We Thought of the Kava Basil Gimlet

Matt Warren, co-founder of Psychedelic Water, says:
“One night, I tried mixing kava with some classic cocktails. I got the idea for the Kava Basil Gimlet during a fun night with friends. The smell of fresh basil and the tangy lime juice went really well with the earthy flavor of kava. And that’s how the Kava Basil Gimlet was born!”
